About Us
A Parent and Citizen Association (P&C) is a volunteer organization that works in partnership with a school to support and enhance the education and wellbeing of students. The P&C is typically comprised of parents, teachers, and members of the local community who come together to organize events, fundraise, and advocate for the needs of the school and its students. The goal of a P&C is to foster a strong and supportive school community, and to work collaboratively with the school to provide the best possible educational experience for students.
Founded in 2022
In 2022, a dedicated group of parents, teachers, and community members came together with the goal of improving the educational outcomes for all students at Bonnyrigg High School. Recognizing the importance of a strong partnership between families, school, and community, they formed the Bonnyrigg High School Parent and Citizen Association (P&C).
The P&C is a vital component of the school community, serving as a liaison between families and school, and providing a platform for families to have their voices heard. With the support of the school, the P&C works tirelessly to ensure all students are given the opportunities and resources they need to thrive.
One of the key ways the P&C achieves this goal is by providing feedback on school policies and activities, and advocating for the needs of students. The group is also committed to raising funds for additional resources, such as technology and educational programs, to enhance the learning experience of all students. Whether it's through organizing events, participating in meetings, or simply offering support, the P&C is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students at Bonnyrigg High School.
The P&C is a registered member of the P&C Federation NSW, and is governed by a constitution and a board of directors. With a strong commitment to education and a passion for excellence, the P&C is at the forefront of ensuring a bright future for the students of Bonnyrigg High School. Whether you're a parent, teacher, or community member, we invite you to join us and become part of this vibrant and dynamic community.
